What Does a Reiki Session Feel Like?

If you've been curious about Reiki, you're probably wondering what actually happens during a session. Every person's experience is unique, but most clients describe Reiki as deeply relaxing, grounding, and restorative.

During a Reiki session, you remain fully clothed while the practitioner places their hands lightly on or just above different areas of the body. The intention is to support your body's natural ability to relax and restore balance.

Some people notice:

  • Warmth or tingling

  • A feeling of heaviness or lightness

  • Emotional release

  • Mental clarity

  • Deep relaxation

  • Feeling like they entered a meditative state

Others simply feel calm and that's perfectly normal.

Before Your Session

There's nothing special you need to do. Wear comfortable clothing, stay hydrated, and arrive with an open mind. Whether you come with a specific concern or simply want to relax, the session is tailored to your needs.

During Your Session

As a Reiki Master and medical intuitive, I combine traditional Reiki with intuitive awareness to help identify areas where your body may be holding stress, emotional patterns, or energetic imbalance.

Many clients say they leave feeling lighter, calmer, and more connected to themselves.

After Your Session

Some people feel energized, while others feel ready for a nap. Your body continues processing after the session, so hydration and rest are encouraged.
